Promessa d'acquisto (purchase proposal)

This is normally only used to compel the seller to ‘remove’ the property from the market whilst the buyer has time to do the background checks to see whether they wish to put in a formal offer. A small deposit is paid that is fully refunded if it is decided not to proceed further.
