Built in 1780 by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, the villa stayed in the Nelson family until the mid 20th century. All the land faces the sea and has unimpeded views over the bay of Naxos. The villa is only a few hundred metres from the very heart of Taormina.

The property is built over three levels, each floor has an area of around 350m2 (3800ft2), giving a total area of over 1150m2 (12400ft2)
The top level has the main entrance with parking, pedestrian entrance and the reception hall. The second floor has the main living room, dining room, a sitting room and tea room. There is also direct access to the park. There are seven bedrooms over two floors, each has a seperate changing area, ensuite bathrooms and panoramic views.
The third floor has further bathrooms, kitchens and services.
The property has a unique asset in the original eighteenth century furniture and fittings. There are many art pieces that predate the villa.

The extensive park is a fascinating journey in itself, species brought to Sicily from around the world have evolved over the last two hundred years. There is a swimming pool measuring 15m by 8m and 2.5m deep, with bathroom, changing room and fountains. Over 5Ha (12 acres of land)

The Villa has a wealth of historical treasures, such as a noble burial chamber from the 3rd century BC, Roman walls, Greek columns, a Hellenic temple devoted to the God Pan.

Numerous terrace areas are perfect for hosting events and parties, in fact the Villa has been used in many films over the years.

The Villa has hosted many important guests, inlcluding King George V and Queen Mary, Princess Margaret, the Shah of Persia, amongst others.
